Project Overview
Covid19 has caused havoc and we started looking for a solution. We brainstormed, got inputs from Health experts and designed CovidBand+. This band can monitor vitals for Covid19 symptoms and uses proprietary algorithms to assess health conditions and risk.
Organisation
Project Context
Team: The team consists of data science experts from John Hopkins, IISC -Bangalore, Doctors, Engineers and Entrepreneurs with experience in successfully building multiple products with innoWear, Fitbit, Nike Fuelband and Motorola. Patents have been filed last week and architecture is ready.
Design: We follow Dieter Ram's '10 Principals of Good design' to keep it minimalist. We prefer to use lines and circles where ever possible. You can see that from our existing products.
Timeline - best case we should have the product ready to be deployed in 6 months. We have existing product that need to be modified to add a couple of sensors and build algorithms.
Project Innovation
Covid19 is here. We expect to get over soon, but need to monitor vitals will remain for foreseeable future.
We are using technology to design solutions.
Design Challenge
Market needs and timing are the biggest challenge. We need ed this product yesterday. So running against the time. World lock-down is not helping but a team of dedicated designers & Engineers trying to solve this.
User Experience
We are using existing platforms and materials to develop the product. In future we will be using local and recyclable products where ever possible.
Concept - Digital
Conceptual Design celebrates the projects that are yet to be realised. They are may be creative ideas, imagined future states or thought pieces intended to start a conversation. This category rewards the blue sky thinking that is needed to drive design forward.
The digital category celebrates design outcomes across digital platforms and includes motion design, front end and interaction design, user experience design and digital product design.
