Clean Energy Council - Website

The Clean Energy Council (CEC) is a membership-based NFP committed to accelerating the transformation of Australia’s renewable energy systems. The organisation acts on behalf of its members to lobby the government for improved policy and collaborates with the industry to advance supply and demand for clean energy. The CEC has grown to collaborate with over 600 leading businesses and 6000 solar installers. As the organisation grew, unique sites were built to meet the needs of different audiences and to promote specific events and projects. The result was a complex network of six websites each attempting to serve a different user group. As users landed on a CEC site, they were left scratching their heads, unsure if they had landed on the right destination. The fragmented experience made users feel lost and abandon the sites. Evolution 7 was delighted to be appointed as the CEC’s digital agency to tackle this information architecture challenge and improve the experience of users. To redesign and redevelop a website that would meet the needs of vastly different user groups, we had to begin by getting to know them. Thanks to extensive user research, UX design and testing, we deployed a website that serves varied users to drive business results. The design is minimal yet bold, evoking a sense of innovation. The clear and targeted navigation helps audiences find what they need instantly - minimising the need to call the organisation, giving the NFP the gift of time.

TEAR - Website

An Australian website for global change. TEAR Australia is a Christian development, relief and advocacy organisation responding to global poverty and injustice in communities around the world. Working in partnership with local Christian development organisations, they manage short-term emergency relief, medium-term recovery and rehabilitation projects. Evolution 7 was delighted to be selected to redevelop TEAR’s website and position it as a critical contender in the NFP environment. While the original sites served many user needs and contained a wealth of information on the organisation itself, both its content and functionality were outdated and falling short of how TEAR would like to be perceived in the digital space. TEAR’s existing digital footprint contained three assets: 1. Tear.org.au - The NFP’s official website 2. Fortomorrow.org.au - a campaign microsite and storytelling platform 3. Usefulgifts.org - a gift-buying site that contributes to TEAR programmes We tackled the fragmented digital presence with clear information architecture, choosing to retire one site and better link the other. New design elements create a sense of continuity between the official website the Useful Gifts shopfront, eliminating the risk of confusion or cart abandonment. Extracting data from market research, analytics and user testing, we designed and developed a new site for TEAR that delivers a strong message to their target audience. Evocative photography, bold colours, clear typography and succinct microcopy, tell a strong story. This storytelling approach has positively impacted all areas of online performance since launch.

Saxton Speakers Bureau represents world-class speakers like Holly Ransom, Ita Buttrose and Julia Gillard. Despite supplying a wealth of household names for speaking engagements, their website lacked excitement and felt more like an edition of the Yellow Pages. We needed to transform the outdated directory-style website into a vibrant, energetic home for event speakers. They type of site that could reinvigorate the brand and help them stand out as a leading player in the event space.

Melbourne Now - Website

Melbourne Now is a visitability website owned by tourism organisation Destination Melbourne. The website’s purpose is to encourage people to come to Melbourne, stay longer and spend more. Their existing site had been on a now-defunct platform VIISIT. We were engaged in taking over the management of their website and migrate it onto the Roam platform. Roam is a destination marketing platform designed for Australia’s tourism organisations. It’s a powerful and flexible website builder packed with the tools that crafty marketers need to promote their destinations. Roam is a software as a service (SAAS) platform with a small upfront cost and annual subscription fee. Tourism websites built on Roam get a cost-effective website that evolves with the market.

The team behind Roam have worked in the travel and tourism space for over ten years, creating award-winning sites for Qantas Holidays, Abercrombie & Kent, Destination Melbourne and many more. After identifying a gap in the market, the team conducted extensive research and consultation with the industry to develop a digital solution: Roam. Roam is a destination marketing platform that creates best-in-class websites at a cost-effective price. The platform gives Destination marketing organisations (DMOs) a powerful and flexible tool while delivering a fantastic experience to the end-user. Roam is a Software as a Service (SAAS) platform, with an annual subscription fee ensuring Roam sites receive feature updates and site upgrades as the product roadmap develops. Roam sites come with integrations that enhance the user experience of travel & tourism sites. Tourism bodies can communicate a rich story and save time with Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW), Algolia search, Zomato & Instagram integrations. Novas is a well-established architectural hardware manufacturer and supplier based in Melbourne. The business is known within the architectural world for being reliable and trustworthy, and for having a strong value proposition with high-quality products. Novas pride themselves on their modern take on interiors for large multi-residential and commercial projects, but the existing websites were outdated and didn’t reflect their cutting-edge approach. Evolution 7 was engaged in designing and engineering a digital solution that would support the customer journey and showcase products and services. We conducted significant user research to unify the brand under one roof. We designed and developed a responsive brand home for Novas that was as sleek as their products and as helpful as their team.

We’ve worked with renowned luxury travel brand Abercrombie & Kent (A&K) for over ten years. As their Australian agency partner, we work together on ongoing digital marketing initiatives and look for opportunities to enhance their online performance. In 2018, we undertook a UX review of their existing site to respond to significant technological and consumer change. We examined the site’s performance from a user experience, marketing and strategic perspective. Following the review, we reimagined the approach to improve user engagement and lead generation, leverage existing content, and respond to critical insights garnered from the report.

Australian Foundation Investment Company

Digital - FinTech

The Australian Foundation Investment Company, AFIC for short, is Australia's largest LIC. For those not in the know, an LIC is a managed investment portfolio listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX). Investors buy shares in AFIC, which gives them access to a diversified portfolio of quality companies. Such investors are betting on AFIC managing the portfolio efficiently to grow the value of shares and provide dividends. AFIC use almost a century of investment experience to manage assets on the ASX, but their existing website was outdated and not attracting new investors. Our vision was to redevelop the site with a complete visual transformation and offer a better user experience to a growing customer base.
