The world’s first lift uniquely designed for your home. Aritco HomeLift is customizable and has an efficient design. It is the first lift that is designed with the homeowner and the private residence in focus. Thanks to innovative engineering and a close cooperation with the Swedish furniture and interior designer Alexander Lervik the lift is not only a problem solver, but a real piece of art in your home. With the Aritco SmartLift app you can easily set the lighting in the lift and the DesignWall to fit your mode. The lift will notify the homeowner, via the SmartLift app, when service is needed. The Aritco HomeLift with both safety and reliability in focus; to meet all kinds of situations that can occur in a home, as well as prevent accidents. All safety is included in our SmartSafety system. The Aritco HomeLift is 95% recyclable and has a lower energy consumption than an average washing machine.

Project Brief

The cooperation between Alexander Lervik and Aritco Lift AB started 3 years ago. Aritco’s market and trend research to understand what to develop in the area of new products had lead Aritco to start developing a lift specially designed for the home. At that moment Aritco realized that they where put into a full new world of behaviors and design, not things they where fronted with in the normal lift industry. Understanding that they where rather now a part of the furniture, house and home design world, they contacted Alexander who was sparked by the idea of developing a new lift. Since then this lift has
been developed in a tight collaboration between Alexander and Aritco Lift, finding solutions for design and technology combined.

Project Innovation/Need

Key novelties for the lift;
-SmartLift, a digital information system that provides the user with continuous information about the lift and with functionality for the user
to personalize the light appearance and behavior of the lift.
-SmartControl, an ergonomic pushbutton that is inspired by the navigation buttons in the car industry. At the same time making it easier for the user to choose floor and naturally it looks more beautiful.
-DesignWall, a backlit art wall with which the owner can personalize the design of his or her lift to fit into his or her house specifically. By also choosing your own set of colors for the lift, the appearance of the lift can be a full choice of your own.
-DesignLight, an interior light design of the lift that takes the appearance of the lift one step further. Through the SmartLift the user can steer the light depending on occasion and ambiance wanted. Through RGB lighting even colors and combination of colors are able to create.
-SmartSafety system, a set of functionalities that will play together so that the lift is fully safe in your home even when having young children around.
-The glass walls, created to bring the open feeling and bring out the design of the lift into the room rather than locking it in to a cabin or a cage.

All of the design has been developed with simplicity, modernity, user experience and a connection to our Swedish heritage of materials and light in mind.

Design Challenge

Aritco realised that we were facing a new world of behaviors and design. Not the normal lift industry where the lift itself is in focus. Understanding that we where rather now a part of the furniture, house and home design world and not the lift industry.
