In our fast-paced work environments, we often forget to appreciate the beauty of nature. To help urban dwellers reconnect with nature, our team has designed "Diffuser Art", bringing the natural world into our homes. Inspired by the peaceful scene of Mount Fuji, we have combined the beauty of nature with our diffuser, allowing users to feel like they are immersed in a natural environment. Autumn Fuji Diffuser can placed on desks and can be used in home spaces and small public places. The clean and elegant diffuser seamlessly immerses in a high-end home living environment and can serve as a beautiful art piece after the diffuser is used.

Project Brief

The reef diffuser is beautifully enhanced by a sanded glass base and a Mount Fuji wood art piece. These elements are proportioned in accordance with the Fibonacci ratio (0.786:1), creating a visually pleasing, natural, and harmonious aesthetic.
The wood art of Mount Fuji is a mesmerizing multilayered composition consisting of seven wooden sticks seamlessly assembled together. This artistic arrangement not only offers visual allure but also imparts a profound sense of depth and dimensionality. Each layer of the wood art carries profound meaning as it represents a distinct plant and captures a unique view of Mount Fuji, drawing you into the captivating beauty and tranquility of the mountain. To optimize fragrance diffusion, the materials of the wood sticks are rosewood and plywood, guaranteeing a scent experience that lasts for up to 2 months.
In order to flawlessly capture the essence of the Fall theme, our team decides to use Autumn Vibes as the fragrance for the diffuser. Cardamom and Sandalwood serve as the top notes, Cedarwood, Violet, and Iris create the middle notes and the base note consists of Paper, Grass, Leather, and Amber. The ingredients of the diffuser have been meticulously chosen to ensure a premium-quality product. The formation of the wood art fragrance is alcohol-free and utilizes plant extracts, resulting in a non-irritating and safe product for use.

Project Innovation/Need

Given our busy work schedules, it is common to feel disconnected from nature. In response, the Mount Fuji Diffuser design strives to create a bridge between the urban and natural realms, serving as a reminder of the beauty of nature and promoting environmental consciousness. Furthermore, the natural fragrance serves as a remedy for the stress faced by individuals residing in hectic and bustling city environments, immersing them in a sensation of being embraced by nature.

Design Challenge

Aligning the fragrance with the design of the wood art can be a challenge. We have conducted more than ten tests in our search for the perfect match. It involves careful selection, testing, and refining of fragrances to achieve a seamless integration of the visual and olfactory elements, creating a cohesive and immersive sensory experience.

During the laser cutting process, burning the edges of the wood is a problem. To address this challenge, we have dedicated the past few months to exploring and implementing various testing approaches. It is crucial to handle the diffuser sticks with care and ensure they are well-polished. This will help prevent any residue or debris from the sticks from contaminating the reef diffuser during insertion. By taking these precautions, the integrity and cleanliness of the diffuser can be maintained, ensuring a high-quality product for customers to enjoy.

Sustainability

As a company specializing in laser cutter projects, the generation of wood residue is an inevitable byproduct. However, we have devised a creative solution to effectively utilize this wood waste. By repurposing the wood residue into diffuser sticks that are perfectly sized, we not only minimize waste but also promote environmental awareness among the public. This innovative approach showcases the importance of sustainability and encourages individuals to connect with nature in their daily lives.

Nevertheless, some wood is wasted when we produce the diffuser sticks, thus the interior surface of the wood art is ingeniously designed as a leaf shape, allowing the by-product to be reused. The leftover material is transformed into various useful items such as product tags, price tags, and key chains. As a result, it ensures minimal waste while adding practical functionality and enhancing the artistic value of the diffuser art.
