Project Overview

Red, a color that cannot be underestimated, is sexy and attractive, which explains my attitude towards life in a domineering way! Contemporary youth living spaces strive to be self-pleasing, stand out, and stay ahead of the trends. On the basis of satisfying the preferences of contemporary youths, the Wuxi Guixiangli 129 prototype house introduces the element of a "red sports car" into space shaping, presenting a flamboyant, enthusiastic, and unique living space to interpret the living attitude of the contemporary young generation.

Project Brief

The project is located in the Wuxi Technological Development Zone, Jiangsu Province. In recent years, urbanization has brought in a large number of elite young people with stable incomes and self-centered consumption. This project is for a new generation of young people. By integrating the new youth ideas and humanistic design, it aimed to position the trending lifestyle to build a future quality house. With the red color running through the space and the individuality integrated into the living scene, the project is based on the contemporary light luxury context and the use of classical fashion paintbrush to outline the boldness, self-confidence, and freedom of the contemporary urban elites in the view of aesthetic experience and situational living dimensions.

Project Need

Drawing inspiration from neo-classical design while integrating contemporary luxury aesthetics, this design employs bold colors and exaggerated contrasts to create a fashionable, personalized, and innovative living space, that embodies the exquisite taste of modern young people.
The collision of stone and metal brings out the right amount of luxury and sophistication. As well as the delicate texture of piano paint and leather will be the detailed interpretation of the craftsman spirit. The combination of highly saturated colors and classic and fashionable furniture endows the space with individuality and a touch of romance. By drawing on the integration model of contemporary large flat LDKG, the layout blurs the space boundaries and cross functions, so as to maximize space utilization and enhance the interaction and communication between scene applications.

Design Challenge

With the evolution of consumer groups, the core focus of residential space design has undergone a major change. Contemporary model rooms have transitioned from "definition of beauty" to accepting the concept of beauty that is not limited by definitions, and have returned from the vain "popular trend" to the true narrative of my life "what I like". Highlighting the personality and living style of the residents, showing self-confidence, and refusing to have the same attitude to life. The design of the prototype house is to create a "resting place" for the young generation where they can put their emotions and needs, and output a lifestyle that combines personality and emotion; The design extends from the rebellious nature of fashion to the residents' self-positioning and inner desire, so as to link the residents' values and identities. With this in mind, the design condenses comfort, personalized expression, and identity into specific design details, focusing on the expression of the spirit of the space and allowing the free soul to stretch out.

Sustainability

While the project focuses heavily on aesthetics and contemporary trends, sustainability considerations are also paramount. Integrating energy-efficient lighting systems, utilizing eco-friendly materials, and implementing space optimization techniques contribute to the project's sustainability goals. By incorporating durable materials and designs that stand the test of time, the project reduces environmental impact by minimizing the need for frequent renovations or replacements. Additionally, the emphasis on creating a comfortable and functional living environment aligns with the principles of social sustainability, ensuring the well-being and satisfaction of residents for years to come. Overall, the project strives to balance modern design sensibilities with long-term environmental responsibility, promoting a sustainable lifestyle for future generations.
