Project Brief

• Brief was to create a novel retail experience while also maintaining the essence of the brand’s mission to create excitement around the comfortable streetwear.
• ADLV QV is a space with a big personality wanting to stand out yet feel inviting.
• Site constraints of a long narrow space presented an opportunity for us to go bold with high contrast black-and-white materials mimicking the vibe of a hustle bustle street alley, the interior is designed to evoke the attitude of high-end streetwear.
• Marble, metal, and light harmonize, setting the mood for an unexpected central installation: a highly reflective energetic athlete silhouette jumping off from marble podium.
• Highly contrast finishes and an immersive digital wall plays with the one’s sense of sight creating a whimsical experience for all those who enter.
• This stage-like space complemented by a vast suspended lighting system resembling luminaires used on stages. The system is directed towards the product displays, putting the garments in the spotlight while draw your eyes straight through the space
• This dramatic theme continues into the change rooms where lush grey velvet curtains and a grey carpet decorate the space
• Within is an energetic cocoon for customer to release their inner coolness.

Project Innovation/Need

• Through restraint selection of finishes, colours and elements, the space expands, stimulating attitude of streetwear culture, while presenting the product as a hero
• The interior design brings bold elements together that are cleverly blended. Stainless steel, white marble floors, high reflective black surface is fearlessly selected to punctuate, imbuing the space with drama and a sense of ease. A level of simplicity, combined with the unexpected fun, make it intriguingly unique.
• With more than 100 products to display, its spaces never feel crowded with options. By making the product arrays sparse, it makes its product presented more exclusive. And therefore, people are willing to spend.
• This is not your typical streetwear. This is magic, intrigue and adventure. It’s about reimagining comfortable and baggy streetwear as a piece fashion that you wear and selling it as such. And you know what? It works.

Design Challenge

• Inspired to create a sensory narrative, ADLV- QV is dared to be different.
• The contrast and clash of finishes, enticing consumers through fantastical, immersive spaces – a stage-like space.
• Whimsical and uniqueness creates an evolving customer experience. It successfully juxtaposes colour and style, allowing each to shine, creating an immersive experience.
• The courageous design results in an undeniably unique retail experience, where the space intrigues and delights.
• ADLV QV is a thoughtfully detailed, cinematically coherent space with the visual and the sensory stimulation of the guest in mind.

Sustainability

• Our Sustainability strategy is focused on the areas where we can directly make the greatest difference: that is creating low carbon, sustainable design that are resilient to climate change.
• Where possible Specify Low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) to all paints,
• While selecting finishes consider Stewardship Programs that allow for take-back/recycling at end of use.
• Specify LED lighting rather than metal halide or fluorescent with control gear, sensors & timers
• Encourage client to specify equipment with the highest Energy Star rating possible.
