Project Overview

The project is located at Junanli, a flat land on Mogan Mountain. To ensure the natural properties of the project, native plants around the villa are completely preserved, making the house appear as if it had grown in nature. The designer strives to carry a large number of natural and original objects, draw materials from nature, and finally return to nature. The challenge is how to integrate the rustic decorative elements into the space and present an ultimate taste, make the space look casual yet not random, and make the layout seem simple but logical, this project has found the balance.

Project Brief

The project is located at Junanli, a flat land on Mogan Mountain. To ensure the natural properties of the project, we completely preserved native plants around the villa, making the house appear as if it had grown in nature. In terms of interior space design, the designer strives to carry a large number of natural and original objects, draw materials from nature, and finally return to nature.

Project Innovation/Need

The design is inspired by the definition of original ecological design. We advocate de-stylization, abandon the complex shapes and heavy materials of furniture, and impress the residents through the beauty of texture and elegant lines of pure natural raw materials; In this way, we give the occupants a comfortable, self, close to nature, and a good living experience of life, so as to convey a simple, spiritual, environmentally friendly and natural lifestyle.
With the development of the city, the prosperous high-rise buildings symbolize the economic strength of the city. People are huddled in the "reinforced concrete" matchbox, more and more eager to return to nature and live a comfortable life. The exhaustion of a large number of urbanites on urban life has triggered our new thinking on interior space design: the design of private space should be people-oriented and reflect people's needs. It should return to authenticity and purity instead of focusing on luxurious appearance. The living space should provide residents with a comfortable, relaxed and open-hearted leisure experience.

Design Challenge

The biggest challenge of this project is how to integrate the rustic decorative elements into the space, and then present an ultimate taste, make the space look casual yet not random, and make the layout seem simple but logical. The designer is good at using subtraction and discards a lot of decorations. Several pieces of ceramic art were randomly placed on the tabletop. The fine craft texture and the original texture of natural materials echo each other, presenting the supernatural craftsmanship of nature, and at the same time enhancing the lasting charm of the space. The design pursues the complete preservation of natural materials and textures, and a large number of furniture is purely handmade to show the original ecological feeling of the space. The designer used a large area of floor-to-ceiling windows in the space to enhance the natural light in the room, blurred the boundary between space and nature, and weakened the use of artificial light, thus creating a healthy, green, and living space in harmony with the environment.

Sustainability

The designer personally went to Mogan Mountain to inspect the local climate conditions and selected indoor materials such as heat-reflective glass according to the natural environment to achieve the effect of constant temperature indoor, maintaining natural light, and reducing energy consumption. Residents can experience a more primitive and ecological lifestyle endowed by nature, and enjoy the breeze in summer and the warm sun in winter.
