Project Overview
In Nanjing, a new city in airport area is developing vigorously covering base operation center, aviation food center, aviation training school, etc. Agile · Starry Skyline was created quietly, carrying the spirit of modernity, technology and future through "Seeking dreams" , "Exploring dreams", "Seeing dreams", and "Traveling in dreams" to show stories of the starry sky. The design incorporates the theme of "humanities, art, and future communities", introducing the concept of silent and vast universe and stars, integrating the starry sky, the universe, technology and the sense of the future into the space by modern design skills, combining technology and humanities, modernity and light luxury, pursuing an aesthetic space from inside to outside, so as to build an ideal city full of vitality of life and modern avant-garde technology through every story in the space.

Project Brief
There is certainly infinite yearning for the vast universe after staying in the hustle and bustle for a long time.
The design presents interstellar stories through four parts: "seeking dreams", "exploring dreams", "seeing dreams" and "traveling in dreams".
"Seeking dreams" - The light of the stars is the form, shining on the moving stars, where we can have a dialogue with the unknown world;
"Exploring dreams" - an orderly and ingenious combination of vision and function;
"Seeing dreams" - a space for simple functions and communication, streamlined and materialized. The miniature landscape of plants brings a quiet artistic conception, and the sense of light embodies the soul of art and makes dreams possess infinite inclusiveness and strong sense of integration;
"Traveling in dreams"-the integration of elements in the starry sky seems like punctuations, water drops, and technology light points, while the stars have scales and texture, displayed through the open and bright space , to break the boundaries of the art matrix, and make the space exactly interesting and exploratory.
Project Need
The integration of "interstellar" elements gives the entire space a different meaning. One space is not a place for display and construction, but has the temptation to reduce distraction. The visual focus is linked by the theme of art, from the outside to the inside, which shows the concept of an ideal city for better living in the future, half of which is function and the other half is art.
Design Challenge
Different from other projects, the design positioning and the name of this project are all related to "interstellar". Combining the functions of the sales center with interstellar elements is a great challenge for the designers. The client's request is not to be too obtrusive, but also to have a sense of artistic atmosphere, so a lot of our effort has been made to screen and match sculptures and artworks for the project.
Sustainability
The indoor air quality management in construction engineering field often adopts the control mode that using inspection after completion, and treatment of pollution when exceeding the standard traditionally, however, this mode fails to effectively control pollution at the best time. In addition to no regulations to avoid pollution exceeding the standard, it will also lead to a series of problems such as high treatment costs, and the inability to guarantee the effectiveness. In response to the national leading concept of sustainable development of indoor air quality, combined with the nature of this project, we have used a new mode of "pre-evaluation + pre-processing", combined with pre-evaluation and calculation with the color analysis, quantitative prevention, and control of pollution in the whole process of decoration and operation. Thus, the risk of indoor air pollution is controlled effectively and comprehensively, and the cost of materials, labor and time has been greatly reduced.

Open to all international projects this award celebrates innovative and creative building interiors, with consideration given to space creation and planning, furnishings, finishes, aesthetic presentation and functionality. Consideration also given to space allocation, flow, building services, lighting, fixtures, flooring, colours, furnishings and surface finishes.
