Project Brief

The columns of the hall are key to the structure. To keep the space broad, the main column is embellished with the visual effect of the beam of light, which symbolizes the spiritual pillar of the company. The 520-centimetre tall movable wall is arranged equidistantly. The use of wood visually warms the hall which is mostly made of stone; besides, the wood wall creates a sense of majestic.

Project Innovation/Need

In response to the variation in the future, the designer adopts the eco-friendly and reusable drywall as the ceiling which can help reduce the pollution and resource consumption. French window and half-glassed cubicles are designed to let the sunlight transmit through the glass, to decline the consumption of electricity.

Design Challenge

In addition to the power demand for the building itself, the surplus power collected by solar panels will be transmitted to the government agencies as public resource. Furthermore, the especially use of ERV not only keeps the air circulating, but regulate the indoor and outdoor humidity.

Sustainability

In terms of sustainable design, the designer adopts sustainable energy, solar energy, as assist resource for the entire building. Moreover, more than 50% of building materials are green building materials. To keep the air circulating in the interior, ERV (Energy Recovery Ventilation) is especially installed. Thus, the users can stay in a comfortable and healthy environment. As for the wall and ceilings, they are made of drywall, which is fireproof and shockproof, therefore, the materials can make the space safe. Furthermore, drywall provides good insulation, making the space better. The effects of energy saving and carbon footprint reduction works well in the building.
