Project Overview

Japanese National Treasure Blood Zelkova> as the Japanese style tea table. The characteristics of this Blood Zelkova exude a unique natural atmosphere and creating a sense of tranquility and comfort. Base on the atmosphere, Stephen starting to develop the whole concept for this residential.
Besides, Stephen applied different materials (healthy and environmentally-oriented) for the design.

Project Brief

The client thinks "nature and health" are the most important elements, and he prefers the Japanese style. After discussing with the client, Stephen understanding the client's needs. That's why Stephen designed the "ZEN" concept for the leisure area, and the "Japanese Tea Ceremony" concept in the living room. Besides, the Olezo team purchased some "healthy and natural" materials to match up the whole design theme.

Project Innovation/Need

This design uses many "healthy and environmentally-oriented" materials, such as Hokkaido Wakkanai Diatomaceous Earth and Japanese Mortar, Blood Beech Wood, ECOCARAT Healthy Wall Brick, Panel without Formaldehyde, Volcanic stone, VRV Air Conditioning System and Fresh Air System.

Design Challenge

Since most of the "healthy and environmentally-oriented" materials are new products relatively. It is seldom used in residential projects. Olezo team uses so many "healthy and environmentally-oriented" materials at this time. By the way, this also our firsts time. Therefore, we need to spend more and more time studying, and researches in the field of materials produced unexpected results. At the same time, this experience enriched the application of those new materials.

Sustainability

This design uses many "healthy and environmentally-oriented" materials, such as Hokkaido Wakkanai Diatomaceous Earth and Japanese Mortar, Blood Beech Wood, ECOCARAT Healthy Wall Brick, Panel without Formaldehyde, Volcanic stone, VRV Air Conditioning System and Fresh Air System. The mentioned materials are a lower carbon footprint and being economically sustainable.




This award celebrates innovative and creative building interiors with consideration given to space creation and planning, furnishings, finishes and aesthetic presentation. Consideration also given to space allocation, traffic flow, building services, lighting, fixtures, flooring, colours, furnishings and surface finishes.
