Bugu Bugu aspires to become an ideal learning space for vacations far from the city life to the parents and their children. Within the ecological community environment, it aims to help a group of "wild children" grow vigorously, by means of creating different sharing space for children aged 5-12 to wake up their purest dreams.

Project Innovation/Need

Zest Art combines architecture and landscape design to highlight the advantages of this project. For example, the semi-open garden area extends the architectural form of "huge cuckoo egg" to create a natural experience for consumers. Children can read quietly in small or large tree holes like a cuckoo. The circular arch ceiling device in the communication area gathers people together and sets off the atmosphere for casual conversations. The kid’s hand-painted murals with the theme of "cuckoo bird" are used to depict the innocence and beauty from the perspective of children. The well-organized bookshelves are connected with the radian of the ceiling and the transparent round glass plays with the children's slide with cuckoo bird's nest theme, which has strengthened the memory for the space.
In the FF&E design, all the furniture can be used freely according to actual needs. For example, the video theater can meet the functions of reading, audio-visual, leisure and class; for the parent-child reading area, it can meet the functions of activities, class and reading.
Hope all the children growing up in BUGU BUGU freely, and everyone will release their inner kindness and be the most authentic themselves.

Design Challenge

In terms of the concept design, the space is designed with multiple functions to extend the life imagination for the customers. In the 1300 sqm, circular "huge cuckoo egg", the designer plans the space function and circulation by blurring the 10-meter floor height of the building and realizes the three functions of casual communication, parent-child interaction and interest enjoyment.

Sustainability

We mainly take "long-term sustainability" as the standard of material selection, we will also make innovative use of materials. We use the oak material to decorate the warm atmosphere of nature to bring consumers the feeling of space without boundaries of nature. We select materials based on aesthetics and practicality
