Inspiration/Method

My jewellery collection is hand crafted from sterling silver and complimented with gold and oxidised finishes.

Elegant simplicity is a key element to each of my designs. I draw inspiration form the clean lines of geometric shapes. Paired together, links form statement neckpieces and bracelets. Clean cut shapes come together to create simple, stylish jewellery accessories and soft satin finishes contrast against the clean geometric lines of my pieces.

Each piece is designed to be a highly wearable unique piece of contemporary Australian jewellery.

Design Challenge

Forming part of my small run production collection, the primary design challenge is to design and develop production processes to allow for multiples to be made without restricting the design process.

The connection between the wearer and their jewellery piece is explored in my work. Linked pieces invite play and interaction from the wearer and earrings spin on their hooks when worn. I find this playful interaction a beautiful part of the wearer developing a connection to the piece, creating a story and a history associated with their unique experiences.

This awards celebrates creative and innovative craftsmanship for jewellery. Consideration given to all aspects that relate to human usage, aesthetics, selection of materials, and resolution of the overall function.
