Rendeevoo is the first dating app that does both the match and the making, enabling you to have drink with someone new TODAY. Matched users can pay for their drink and enjoy a rendez-vous at one of our handpicked bars.
It takes zero texts and lots of serendipity!

Project Brief

Online dating sites charge their users a monthly fee, with the algorithm-based promise of finding “the one”.

These kind of value propositions work for certain individuals, but unfortunately tend to end online. This, while more and more people demand hybrid services, that fulfil their real life's needs (Uber, AirBnB, ...)
Even more importantly, users who engage in online chats find themselves trapped in an asynchronous loop that goes no further than promoting their online personas.

Financially convenient for dating sites, but far from user friendly, who end up spending hours chatting with strangers.

Instead, it is rendeevoo's sole mission to increasing real life interactions by shrinking the online ones; allowing people to use their five senses to do the matching over a cocktail, rather than relying on an algorithm.

Project Need

We provide a safe and convenient technological tool for urbanites who wish to meet others in real life.
Rendeevoo is a not a platform; it is a streamlined service. With the finality of the service being, you enjoying a cocktail in a nice bar; NOT a chat screen.

The app is monetised by charging commission to its partnering bars on every booking. A rendeevoo is booked when both users agree to order their cocktail, which happens with a secure one-click purchase in the app.

Customers are asked to pay the same price for a cocktail as they would at the bar. Bars love us, because we help them increase their foot traffic on a regular basis.

User Experience

User feedback and engagement is of vital importance to rendeevoo. Apart from twitter and our other user engaging channels, we have a very clear "send us feedback" button on the home screen that has generated good customer feedback and relations to date.

Second, we are close to A/B testing a new and exciting feature. More to come ;)

Lastly, we gather external impressions, whereby a survey for example revealed that 82% of female respondents would not mind paying for their own first drink in the app. These are great insights and helped us to support strategic product decisions.

Of course we also monitor our users' behaviour in the app through the employment of two complementary analytic platforms. Liquid gives great insights on aggregate habits, and UXcam allows us to drill down to specific users and observe their in-app experience with a video.

Project Marketing

Regardless of the limited resources, our growth hacking strategy has a very clear focus on how to acquire & convert Londoners.

Because of our hyper-local nature, we strongly believe in the power of leveraging our offline activities online.

Project Privacy

We are committed to ensuring that our users’ information is secure and used only for internal service-specific purposes. Rendeevoo employs Stripe's gateway to process user payments and has no access to a user's card details.

Rendeevoo has a clear business model and clear values to go with it. We respect our customers and do not share or sell our users' information to third parties.

When our users meet in real life on a rendeevoo, we do not allow them to meet at a place of their choice. Instead, we hand pick bars around London that deliver an exquisite service, but also have an intimate and safe character.
