Project Brief

BOXPARK Shoreditch is a revolutionary concept. Standing for 2 years in the centre of East London, it's now a landmark, a shipping container mall full of exciting pop-up stores and social dining spaces.

Spurred on by John Lewis' report that users who purchase both online and in-store spend 300% more than those who purchase instore only, we wanted to bring our unique offering of products to more users, embracing the multi-channel future.

We created, from the ground up, a bespoke iPad ePOS and cloud-based stock management system that link seamlessly to our Magento website and our consumer app with a focus on Social sharing.

Anything item that our stores hold here at BOXPARK can be shared or bought, anywhere, and at any time, by consumers.

Project Need

Our project needed to give small independent retailers an easy way to get started selling in-store and online quickly, allowing consumers to access these amazing products via our native iOS and Android apps.
Our innovations:
- Built an onsite photography studio for quick and cheap access to professional product pack shots
- Ability to scan barcodes in-store with our consumer app to bring up more information about the product, to 'like' and purchase later, or to 'share' immediately to connected social platforms.

User Experience

The user engages with the app at home, researching, liking and sharing products.
When visiting the site, the user can be directed to our physical location by the app.
The app will give users a push notification when they are close-by, allowing them to read more information about current deals and offers.
When in-store the user can scan items from the app to find out more information, allowing them to save for later (like) or to share with friends via socials.

Project Marketing

Our marketing is socially-led, by us, but more importantly by the consumer.
We encourage users to scan and share items when on site to their socials: facebook, twitter, g+, pinterest and Gmail. Users can also save products to their photostream for easy sharing to Instagram.
