Project Innovation/Need
Our aim was to create a high end luxury retreat for people.
Design Challenge
The idea came about when a friend wanted to build accommodation retreats on his farm and wanted a place that not only complimented the environment but also was to be a beautiful building in its own right.
Sustainability
The ACCOMMODATION PODS are designed with integrated water storage tanks and PV panels to be energy efficient and self-sufficient.
Architecture - Proposed
This award celebrates the design process and product of planning, designing and constructing form, space and ambience that reflect functional, technical, social, and aesthetic considerations. Consideration given for material selection, technology, light and shadow. The project can be a concept, tender or personal project, i.e. proposed space.
