Project Brief

This journey began because I was personally tired of ruining my precious bras in my cramped drawer. I wanted to design a solution for the storage and protection of women's bras. It is essential to not twist, fold or squash your bras. Bra-Voe is a solution to protect your bras from being damaged.

Bra-Voe also creates ease in choosing and accessing your bras each day and saves women time. Most women have struggled with their tangled damaged bras for too long. Once a bra is damaged it becomes unwearable. Damaging bras is a costly exercise.

It is very exciting to now have Bra-Voe take care of your bras.

Project Need

Bra storage has been a huge problem for women and has been overlooked for many years. There is no other product that has been developed anywere in the world like Bra-Voe.
Bra-Voe lets women have their bras all displayed beautifully in their wardrobe and keeps them protected from being damaged in crammed bra drawers.
By squashing your bra into drawers you lose the shape and damage the contour and material. Often a bra can become unwearable after this happens.
With Bra-Voe you just flick through your displayed bras like CDs in the music shop. Each cup of the Bra-Voe rotates forward and allows you to flick through them very easily.
The world's lingerie industry is enormous and there is a real need in the market for a solution.
Also the storage industry is in need of a solution for bras within their wardrobe design.

Design Challenge

Firstly bras are quite complex to store. With so many sizes and variations like molded, padded, and even water bras it took quite some time to perfect the design to cater for them all.

Secondly because wardrobes vary so much I needed to ensure it was suitable for all wardrobes/spaces. I wanted Bra-Voe to be suitable in a drawer, on a shelf or attached to a wall. I needed to design one track that was suitable for the 3 sizes of Bra-Voe. I also need the track to allow for two positions - one is easy rotation for shelf and drawer version and second position allowing the cups to click into a set position when mounted on the wall or back of a door.
After considerable time this was achieved.

Sustainability

Bra-Voe has been produced in New Zealand using the highest quality plastic and therefore will last for many years. It is a product that people will not need to replace.
The packaging is also recycable.
