Project Overview

The project is adjacent to Yanming Lake on its north side, which makes it more valuable due to the lack of inner lakes in Xi’an. The transition zone between the densely populated area and the suburb provides an excellent lakeside location. On the basis of it, an ideal residence is created for high-net-worth individuals to enjoy an idyllic life.
The designers integrated architectural sustainability with power of natural growth and changes of light and shadow, to create an “ecological exhibition center” in urban city. The sales center achieves the harmonious unity of prosperity and tranquility, hence offering diverse experience about space and aesthetics for users.

Project Brief

Soft “lakeside landscape” is abstracted into the basic hue of the space, resonating with simulated artistic installations of stone, wood and plant, etc, to demonstrate an ecological beauty. The contrast of dark and light colors and the materials enrich the layers of the overall space.
The designers attempted to adopt the holographic projection system to present the natural scene of Yanming Lake. Therefore, when roaming around “the reeds” enclosed by artistic installations, people can leave their troubles behind for a while, getting themselves immersed in the tranquility and beauty while listening to the sound of trickling water. Multi-sensory experiences brought by nature and art are shown at themed exhibition hall, where user experience well blends with the spatial form.
The effects of light and shadow form natural contrasts of various scenes. The long corridor leading to the second floor is arranged at the back of themed hall. A sequence of pillars enables the forms of light to change over time, showing mysterious and fantastic views. Large areas of French windows make customers easier to have a clear view of the landscape while visiting and communicating.
Modern artworks interpreting nature, thinking and creativity are displayed to satisfy users’ spiritual needs and create a pleasant and relaxing ambience. Lighting fixtures at the center lighten the property model display area, which reduces the visual weight of the vertical space so as to present a sense of extension. Screens function as partitions to separate discussion areas, rendering a simple and clean environment.

Project Need

2. The designers integrated architectural sustainability with power of natural growth and changes of light and shadow, to create an “ecological exhibition center” in urban city.

Design Challenge

The project utilizes the holographic projection installation to present pleasant views of a “lakeside habitat”, which is jointly built by the design team and artists. The visual effect produced by the hologram technology is supposed to cover the overall hall, making people enjoy scenes as realistic as possible, even at a glance of it. Therefore, it requires a high quality of splicing technology. Moreover, in order to optimize the scenes, the arrangement of the installation needs to take the holistic volume and the combination of images into consideration, which makes more demands of the design.

Sustainability

Installations set at the interior are mainly made of environmental-friendly materials, available for reuse and resources saving, which shows the respect for nature and the responsibility for sustainable development of the architecture industry in the future. And the later maintaining of the center can be more environmental, which is essential for sustainable development of the economy.
