Project Brief

As part of the project Principle Design recommended a brand refresh to rejuvenate Youth Projects website whilst retaining brand recognition. Bold, confident and fluid, the brand evolution clearly articulates Youth Projects key messages of credibility, adaptability and care.

Project Need

The vision of the brand and digital experience was to create an evolution to where it would not lose its core donors. Instead, we looked to evolve the surrounding brand language and enhance photography to build credibility within already established core donors, as well as extend out to others around it.

The new website adapt to the needs of existing users of the website, as well as new users wishing to donate to Youth Projects. Combining humanistic photographs, an exhilarating use of colour and bold typography, the website comes alive to weave a visual narrative that clarifies the large breadth of services that Youth Projects offer.

User Experience

The evolution of the brand language came through a necessity of needing to refresh the brand touch points without straying to far from its past steps. The challenge came with pushing the brand the right distance to not alienate past clientele.
The challenge to assist a non-for-profit organisation came through the necessity of building in an on going system to create more donors in the digital realm.
The website’s existing sitemap and content layout was difficult to navigate and needed to be streamlined in order for users to understand their current position on the site and where to travel to next.

Project Marketing

A resounding praise has been given to Youth Projects through the likes of positivity from donors and stakeholders and staff members. The freshness of the brand and website has trickled through the organisation to create a strong sense of pride and invigorated passion within the brand.

This category is all about helping our communities to connect and engage, from emergency services to Not for Profits to social groups, these apps and sites not may not only assist in delivery but also create efficiencies providing those at the coalface more time to do their important work whether it be fighting fires or managing the local team. It's not all serious though we're also looking for projects that work to help bring the community groups together with fun and enjoyable activities.
