Project Brief

Principle Design was given a brief to create a website that leverages upon the ARBV existing brand to promote confidence to the organisation and to build trust to the architects & the public. Functioning as a guide to the public, finding an architect and safeguarding architectural standards, the website also needs to maintain its highest privacy protection to all its members.

Project Need

Principle Design created a digital strategy with a strong focus on functionality that was bold and intuitive. The target of the ARBV digital strategy was to create information hierarchy above the fold, including a simplified functionality of organizing the high amounts of data, ensuring the usability of the menu.

The structure and strategy of the menu as a two-way menu system enabled a smoother experience in user journey. Colour and tone was implemented to create a strategic focal point to navigate the user through their digital experience. The branding tone of voice was art-directed through photography and a series of videos complimenting the ARBV story, defining the essence of the ARBV organization ensuring that the integrity of the brand is held true.

User Experience

The effects of a simplified navigation, structuring of information hierarchy and the ‘Search for an Architect’ bar as a prominent feature has improved user engagement.
With striking, textural architectural imagery, the creation of an introductory video to ARBV was paramount to providing an alternate way of communicating to users.

Feedback received across the ARBV board and architectural sector verify the outcome of a responsive and functional website, beyond expectation.

Project Marketing

With weekly and monthly unique engagements for registered architects, the newly designed website did not need to be marketed as a new product. Instead the stream lined approach was well received in feedback across the architectural sector.

Project Privacy

There was a conceited focus and effort to ensure that the database functioned as an intermediary between Architects, students of Architecture and the public and therefore privacy was paramount to keep secure.
