Project Need

Ideally I'm trying to restore interest in the beauty of symmetry through curves and true craftsmanship and keeping the skills in making hand made products alive and thriving in an era of mass produced throw away items.

Design Challenge

I feel it was a personal need and inner satisfaction to produce something utilising every skill and process I have gathered in my years of learning together with mastering my craft and progressing as a designer/maker to push my own boundaries in terms of design and manufacturing.

Sustainability

I aimed to source sustainable materials and resources where appropriate and available such as F.S.C. certified adhesives, surface coatings and substrates.
Timbers and veneers from only sustainably managed forests were sourced for this project.

My manufacturing ethos embraces sustainable practices

The carbon footprint of Grain Timber Furnitures Art Deco table is significantly reduced through the design intention of creating an heirloom piece to be handed down through many generations thanks to great care in manufacturing to the highest standard of craftsmanship with only the best materials being used ensuring this piece has a infinite lifespan.
