Project Brief

We developed imaginative wall graphics to create a visual language that referenced the sites heritage in a fictitious and playful way that allowed the urban myths surrounding the Shot Tower to form the narrative for the mischievous illustrations.

Project Need

The design has added value to the precinct though recognising the history of the location however communicating it through an aesthetic that aligns itself with the current architecture and vision for the establishment.

Design Challenge

To marry the graphics with the building’s architecture, faceted forms and lighting were integrated with the illustrations and signage to create exciting and engaging imagery, thus activating these new laneway and dining area’s as destinational precincts.

Sustainability

To lower the carbon footprint of the design, Büro North outsourced the construction and installation to local contractors. Selecting materials such as energy saving LEDs for the backlit components to create a sustainable approach for the life of the design.
