Project Overview

In this project, visitors are immersed in the large-scaled peaceful picture, where the senses are awakened by the visible world, and the feelings and images once ignored in life are represented here. It allows people to rediscover and feel life with a specific attitude or a special perspective.

The word "feeling", which seems to be understated and ordinary, is the key to the whole design. What it conveyed is a desire to arouse sympathy; since sympathy is the radar people exploring this world.

Project Brief

A dramatic effect is created by the transparent and reflective glasses, which are used to show the hidden contents; to freeze-frame the moments; to express the wordless feelings; and to show the balance between light and shadow and surroundings. It makes the visitors away from the routine life and exposed in a space where three-dimensional depth is blurred, while the dynamic picture is transformed into four-dimensional direction of time and space.

Project Innovation/Need

Lighting is always a vital means in our works. In this case, we make the best of lighting design and the transparency and reflection of glass, as so to dim the originally quite clear lines. Thus, the space is full of fancy and romantic atmosphere, which is just what we’ve set in the beginning of design.

The design is adhered to unique design language from the beginning. Starting with the project itself, the designers create a poetry, fantastic space by a brand-new design method.

Glass boxes and waterfall are the key design elements. Layers of glasses form the first highlighted space, where light and shadow create a dreamy visual effect. The waterfall appears infinitely big by the reflection of glass, as if the visitors are surrounded by waterfall, thus becoming fantastic and mysterious.

Design Challenge

There have been a lot of spas already, so how to make a different one is the main challenge. The design environment of high-end recreation project should be pure and concise. However, the majority of the current spas are vulgar and ordinary. To confront this situation, Hip-pop design team adheres to the principle of restraining, mature, unaffected and practical design. The spiritual strength, aesthetic value and business idea are well presented in this project design.

Sustainability

There are two walls made of LED screen. And a thin film is covered to blur the image and lower the resolution of LED, finally controlling the cost. The infinite effect of image is achieved by the transparency and reflection of glass.
