Project Brief
Hidden Sea is inspired by secret places under the sea. In this area, Sammy Liu, the artist being well-known for his light and shadow works, and Billy Chang, the lead dancer of Cirque du Soleil, will perform a legendary show with Chang’s dance group. By using the performers’ body and the effects of sounds and lights, this show not only to demonstrate installations of lights and shadows but also to present stage dynamics in cubical space. Visitors can feel themselves in the performance with these installations and go through the greatly immersive experience.
Project Innovation/Need
Hidden Sea is quite popular and draws a large number of tourists from many places. By using the performers’ body and the effects of sounds and lights, this show not only to demonstrate installations of lights and shadows but also to present stage dynamics in cubical space. Visitors can feel themselves in the performance with these installations and go through the greatly immersive experience.
Design Challenge

Sustainability
This exhibition installation works of art includes reusable plastic materials, made from recyclable PVC blue and white colors of curtains, and then remade into subsequent performance costumes and props after the event, which can be used many times and continue the life of waste plastic.
