Project Brief

Upon entering, the reception counter replaced gorgeous marble material with eco-friendly grey coating and white artificial stone, which is decorated with a pot of plum tree to demonstrate dignified refreshing sentiment. When looking up, one can see the spatial layout of a small circle and a large circle on the ceiling, which extends downwards to the main discussion area, where the hand-painted art wall is the core image within the space. The discussion area on the right continued with the ingenious vocabularies of the foyer, where the perfect segmentation of the veneer boards structure an alternative sense of layer; the indirect lighting from the French window spreads out along with the lighting of the silky soft veil curtain.

Project Innovation/Need

For the layout, the designer has connected the spaces, forming a crisscross axis composed by the display shelf, the large circle on the ceiling, the center of the sofa and the iron-piece screen on the right.

Design Challenge

To provide a semi-private discussion space, an iron-piece screen is implemented to segment and eliminate the heavy ambience with a jumpy scale. The wall on the left is the largest main visual wall within the space, comprehensively extending the artistic taste.

Sustainability

The materials conform to the global environmental protection principles with the use of three types of art coatings popular for green buildings, which is formaldehyde-free and contains the minimum amount of VOC, these are demonstrated respectively on the counter, the main wall on the left and the artist painted wall. Such type of green construction material is obtained from raw materials for manufacture, causing the minimum loading on the environment during the application process and the recycling for reuse circulation, which is harmless to human body health.
Moreover, the sustainable aspect is implemented via formless art and culture that make an impression in the users’ hearts; the construction materials, as well as styles, vary according to the global trend, as only “artistic taste and cultural value” can make impressions in people’s hearts imperceptibly to accomplish the real value of sustainability.
