Project Overview

Oneflare is Australia’s fastest growing marketplace for local services, leading the way with more than 45,000 registered businesses and over $50 million of jobs requested. Oneflare has recently acquired Australia’s largest renovation forum - RenovateForum.

Oneflare’s innovation extends to its iPhone & iPad app that allows customers to request from over 250 services categories and receive quotes from local businesses in real time. Customers can review these quotes together with the business’ accreditation, license and customer feedback.

For businesses, the app allows them to receive job leads in real time and respond or quote on-the-go.

Project Brief

As a customer, finding a trusted business is difficult and time consuming. Instead of calling around for quotes, Oneflare connects customers directly to local home service providers, bridging the gap and ensuring local service providers can take full advantage/ gain exposure and generate tangible, target specific, quality leads. It offers a contemporary platform for businesses to connect with their local customers, an alternative to outdated modes of advertising.

The Oneflare iPhone & iPad app allows customers to seamlessly:
- Request a service and outline the details of their request
- Upload images of the job at hand
- Receive up to 4 quotes within 48 hours
- Compare quotes while reviewing business profiles
- Select and hire a business
- Leave reviews and feedback

Local businesses benefit from:
- Alerts of tangible job leads in real time via instant push notifications
- Being able to review and respond to these leads immediately whether they are on site or mobile
- Instant access to customer’s contact details once a quote is submitted
- Dynamically being able to update their profile by uploading photos of their work on-site and showcasing photos of their previous work

The app has also incorporated Australia’s first end-to-end home improvement feature: Oneflare Scrapbooks. Best described as Pinterest for home improvements, it streamlines the process of project ideation to its execution as well as the sourcing of reliable labour for the job. The

Project Need

The Oneflare app has revolutionised the customer experience.
Time efficiency: requesting a home service takes less than 3 minutes and quotes start to appear within 24 hours
Job questions: the app generates relevant questions to the job which provide the most information for the business e.g. for a cleaner, customers outline how many rooms, if it is a once off clean or regular
Image sharing: users can upload photos of the job request they need done
Comparisons: the customer can compare quotes and business online reputation from their device and hire on the spot
Matching technology: job requests are automatically matched to several businesses to quote based on service category and location
Image search: Users can search for items in the house through Oneflare Scrapbooks e.g. downlights, bath tub etc.

Businesses can devote their resources in providing the highest quality service for customers.
Tangible job leads: local businesses are instantly notified of live jobs as they appear via push notifications and can review the job while out and about
Job quoting: businesses can quote on jobs immediately by providing a quote or site-inspection-required request.
Direct contact: businesses can get into direct communication with the client after submitting a quote
Portfolio images: businesses can take before and after photos of their work, instantly share to Facebook and upload to their business profile or website

Users can also pull design inspirations for their home renovations from Oneflare’s Scrapbooks and hire businesses all in one easy to use app.

User Experience

There are two types of users who engage with the app; customers requesting local services and businesses who receive and respond to these job leads.

The customer creates a job request detailing what they need which includes a text description and uploads any images of the job needing to be done. This provides the business with a succinct and informative idea of the requirements. They also enter their contact details such as name, mobile, email and postcode for the business to contact them.

As multiple quotes come in, users are notified via push notifications. These quotes can be reviewed and compared all at once and the customer can then hire the business through the app. Once the work is completed, a rating and review can be left for the business.

Businesses engage with the app by signing in and will be able to receive push notifications of job leads. When a business selects a lead they are interested in, they can provide detailed quotes or request for a site inspection. Upon submitting a quote, businesses receive the customer’s contact details and communicate directly.

Businesses are able to update their profile information such as their logo, contact details, portfolio images and login details.
