Project Overview

SendaScript is creating freedom for consumers, solving the arduous task of medication supply. It's a mobile ordering & retailing platform where customers are connected to open pharmacies anywhere, any-time. The company implements a recognized solution in removing the cash register & the sales cue, giving a customer the choice of saving time & avoiding the frustration of in-store transactions.

SendaScript is creating freedom for consumers through solving the arduous task of medication supply. It's a mobile ordering & retailing platform where customers can connect to open pharmacies anywhere, any-time. SendaScript owns a recognised, innovative payment solution to removing customer frustration when requiring their prescription. Pharmacies that provide this software want to create efficiencies for their customers when patronising their business. The EXPRESS.PAY.NOW feature allows consumers to pay smarter, pay simpler, & pay anywhere using a mobile device.

SendaScript takes the user’s privacy very seriously & retains no medical data from their prescription orders. The company is the most confidential, ethical & cyber-security conscious available in pharmacy today. It is owned by Fabian McCann, who considers that on-line communication of an individual’s medical information is an honourable responsibility & a mutual agreement in trust. SendaScript defines when a customer needs to speak to a pharmacist or when a customer simply wants their prescription conveniently filled. The company knows that creating retail applications for pharmacy should provide both profit for the owner & benefits for the customer.

A large proportion of pharmacy revenue is over the counter products and medicines. SendaScript has now incorporated a retailing feature into the app, which compliments its basic function of prescription ordering. Developed is an in-app feature that can be switched on by the user called POSDeal. It represents a GPS & frequency functionality connecting merchants and shoppers to the stores and to the streets. When switched on users are alerted to any local promotions or deals within their vicinity. Merchants release these deals & promotions in real-time to drive traffic & create awareness, for example during slow trading times. The mutual benefit is that the pharmacy gains in-store traffic and the user has access to awesome savings on purchases they want.

SendaScript has now defined for Australian Pharmacy a method where mobile phones will improved customer's experience creating business loyalty both in and out of the store. Our desire for this software is to make merchants & customers smile!

Project Brief

A location based software that any pharmacy can use to build their brand, increase their sales, inform their customers & create greater reach within their community. SendaScript creates a retail application for pharmacy which will both add profit for the owner & satisfaction for the customer. There is know a choice when convenience is needed to virtually do all pharmacy transactions with your mobile.

SendaScript 's innovative use of SMS received special acclaim from our panel of world judges when they announced the winners. Project Need

SendaScript has pending patent technology in the way a customer can order their prescription with a mobile device to potentially any pharmacy in the world. This will be common place, especially in the lower socio-economic regions of the world where mobiles are the only means of communicating important information with health & other services.

The merchant payment platform for pharmacy is the first time in the world that a payments provider has approved the underlying insurance risk. The business model and payments implementation saw SendaScript win Clickatell's International "High Five Award" for 2014. This award goes to developers who have broken boundaries and forged new paths in the world of mobile & SMS. SendaScript is innovating the mobile start-up space by using SMS in the development of features in pharmacy.

Up until now pharmacy was on the black list with the available mobile retail payment options in the market. SendaScript's & Braintree's business model has created a pathway for potentially all pharmacies to be approved now in offering mobile payments.

These simple innovative and fresh ideas are developed so retail pharmacy can have inexpensive ways of marketing, merchandising, promoting & operating their businesses to compete with the bigger retailers.

User Experience

SendaScript takes the user’s privacy very seriously & retains no medical data from their prescriptions. The company is the most confidential, ethical & security conscious available in pharmacy today. This is why when using the app there are no passwords or emails required to use its basic functionality.

The app has been developed onsite in my pharmacy and the entire process over the years has been through continual input from customers and staff. The size of the buttons, the colours, the steps and features have all been included in the build through consultation with my own pharmacy customer data base. This is important as the demographic of the most common pharmacy customer is over the age of 45 yr. The level of knowledge of technology and the motor skills of this age group were very much taken into consideration when laying out the design of the screens.

There are locations within the app where customer feedback can be easily emailed back to support for continual quality improvement for the consumer. As well analytics embedded into this addition of the app will give very good information on the patterns of behaviour of the user and the areas within screens that may need to be altered in future versions.

Engaging with the user for a pharmacy application I believe is a must for it to be a success. This is a very important department for the company's developement.

Project Marketing

Marketing the next level of convenience in pharmacy, using social channels, cold calls, fax marketing.

Our approach has been to first "re-iterate" the company's commitment to the previous intuitive design that created a simple user experience in our first app. Then secondly, we are more prominently "emphasising" the fact that the new features & functions are now beginning to save actual time.

"It has been shown, on average a person spends an hour a day waiting in lines, that's 2-3 years of their life. While we can't reduce all your waiting time, our latest pharmacy app will ensure you get a choice over how much time you choose to spend waiting inside a pharmacy. Get your prescriptions dispensed & pay for them before you arrive & save some time for something you love to do.

This time saving message in various connotations, accompanied with visual images of popular travel holidays, iconic destinations, moments of family fun & "me-time" has seen a positive response in our social media engagement. It also has brought an international audience into our community esp. from UK and US.

Introducing the new app is based on lessons learnt from our first launch. Creating the customer interest is our priority before detailing the pharmacy owner. The reason is the level of understanding of this technology and its benefits for business is uninteresting to the pharmacy owner. However, they always get interested when their customers enquire, that is their revenue base.

Project Privacy

SendaScript takes the user’s privacy very seriously & retains no medical data from their prescriptions. The company is the most confidential, ethical & security conscious available in pharmacy today. All the new Cyber-security Industry Standards set on the 1st Jan 2014 to strengthen encrypted gateways are incorporated into the software. Also no credit card information is stored or kept by any SendaScript's software as it is all protected by the innovative two-key pairing encryption process developed by the Braintree Payments Vault.

SendaScript owns a dedicated private, firewall enabled, stackable server, provided by RackSpace with all of our company assets located at a designated location in North Sydney, Australia. All of the SAAS is protected by "GeoTrust True BusinessID Wildcard Certificates" and public facing websites are protected by "Geotrust True BusinessID with EV certificates" to give the confidence to our users & clients observing the green padlock panel in our browser.

All the current privacy, terms and conditions under Australian standards have been complied by a solicitor and can be found on the website as well as the client's dashboard and accessed within the app.
