Project Brief

Sea Shepherd Radio combines news from the frontline defence of our oceans with some great sounds from bands and musicians who support our work. Truly a pirate radio station, it delivers a unique mix of music and activism.

Project Need

Sea Shepherd radio is a unique station which offers people a direct way to connect with our work. There can be few NGOs globally which bring this type of content to an app. A radio station for the oceans.

User Experience

Users of Sea Shepherd radio engage with our work through a very simple app on their devices or our website which allows them to see the upcoming tracks being played, share on socials and listen to some great music and news updates.

Project Marketing

Sea Shepherd spends the vast majority of its funds on campaigns to defend oceans worldwide. Most of our crew are volunteers so marketing is done without a budget. We are using our extensive social media networks as well as looking at innovative uses of traditional media to promote.

Project Privacy

This project has used best practice with privacy.

Apps more than ever are helping our communities to connect and engage, from emergency services to Not for Profits to social groups, these apps not only assist in delivery but provide efficiencies importantly providing those at the coalface more time to do their important work whether it be fighting fires or managing the local team. It's not all serious though we're also looking for apps that work to help bring the community groups together with fun and enjoyable activities.
